For truck decking, we recommend using apitong lumber. We have apitong lumber cut in various sizes to fit any truck decking requirements. We also have a wide assortment of parts available such as gate locks, carriage bolts, and torx drivers (drill bits) to enable you to complete a functioning truck lumber deck.

Aside from apitong, we also offer different cuts of oak that can make excellent truck decking material as well.

Yes. We have a wide assortment of exceptional Slabs that will complete your work. Our inventory includes various hardwoods and softwoods in both live edge and free form styles.

Each slab is unique. Especially for exotic hardwoods, finding the perfect piece can be challenging. You can contact our sales staff to learn more about the availability and pricing of the species on hand.

Yes, we can recommend an excellent seal to prevent your freshly-cut lumber from cracking.

To prevent end-checking, we recommend Anchorseal end sealer.

It is a premium wax emulsion end sealer engineered to prevent drying splits and end checks in lumber specifically. It works well for hardwood, softwood, and any lumber type.

• After sawing, exposed wood surfaces are sensitive to moisture, stains, and most solvents.
• To protect exposed wood surfaces, you will need an easy-to-use urethane gel.
• We recommend Emmet’s Good Stuff (finish-clear) urethane gel for that purpose.
• This product is developed to reseal raw wood surfaces that have been cut or modified during the woodworking process.

• Yes. We offer medium-density fibreboard (MDF).
• We usually have stocks of walnut wood at ¼” and ½” thickness and ultralight MDF at ½,” ¾,” and 1” thickness. You can call us at (323) 263-9361 for available inventory.

• We know that most woodworkers will seek sanding for bigger board sizes. We use an SCMI 43” Belt Sander to ensure we can accommodate most sanding needs.
• The maximum board size we can run through our sander is 43” wide.

• We sell only A-grade walnut plywood in our lumber yard.
• These include veneers and MDF.
• For better handling, lesser tool war, and when weight-saving applications are needed, we have ¼”-thick and ½”-thick A-grade walnut MDF available in our lumber yard.
• For an economical, tough, and excellent face finish, we have A-Grade, C/C plywood available at ¾” thickness.

• Among the three types of Titebond Glue we carry, we recommend Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue if you are looking for a waterproof wood glue that will work for any woodworking application.
• If you do not require a waterproof glue, we have other Titebond Wood Glue products available for sale at our lumber yard.
• All Titebond Wood Glue can work with any RF gluing system and are FDA-approved safe for use on indirect food contact wood products such as cutting boards.

• Yes. You can use the Walrus Oil Wood Wax as a stand-alone product or after applying Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil.
• Just one pinch goes a long way to protect your cutting board from moisture while bringing out the beauty of the wood.
• Apply a thin layer of wax, dry for 15 minutes, then buff the cutting board surface with a rag.

• Yes. At Bohnhoff Lumber, we are conscious of the needs of our customers. Many of our customers walk into our store to handpick their choice of lumber. To ensure that they have the best wood-buying experience, we offer milling services in our Los Angeles lumber yard to provide customers with the exact piece they need.
• Our milling services include sawing using our 30” Agazzani bandsaw and a Sawstop table saw.
• For other milling machines, we also have an SMCI 24” planer, 43” drum sander, and a 20: jointer.
• We have an average turn-around time of 3 to 7 days depending on the size and detail of your order.

• We highly recommend Baltic birch plywood if you prefer a light-colored wood finish that is generally free of flaws for your cabinets and interior paneling.
• Our milling services include sawing using our 30” Agazzani bandsaw and a Sawstop table saw.

• We also have maple MDF available in our yard if you require an economical choice with a desirable finish.

• White vinyl (with one good side) is highly recommended as a ceiling cladding material. Best of all, white vinyl is also affordable and is perfectly wipeable.
• An alternative to white vinyl is white melamine. Water-resistant a perfectly wipeable, ideal for bathroom and kitchen cabinets. Though we don’t stock white melamine with two good sides, we can get them for you quickly should you request them.
